  • Well, with multi-threading, any application can effectively do two things at once. It's a bit of a trick with a single processor as the clock cycles are 'time-sliced' and divided amongst the active threads.

  • Don't you get tired of people printing rubbish like this? How they make the massive leap from an applications state being changed to inactive and to it actually running a background process is beyond me.

  • Yeah the price is a big problem. But by no means the only one. Over the last 8 years, I've been expecting Apple to supply lower priced computers, and in some respects it has happened, when you compare what you get for your money these days. There are far more models to choose from too.
